The film and multimedia sector is developing rapidly, but one of the biggest obstacles remains the gap between creativity and technology. Many creative professionals are not aware of how technological tools could enhance, scale, or even completely redefine their work.

The aim of the hackathon is to bridge this gap — providing knowledge and practical experience on how to apply technology creatively. We also help participants understand the basics of entrepreneurship and startups: how a startup differs from a traditional business and where to begin when turning an idea into reality.

Industry-specific knowledge from creative professionals is often the key to developing innovative solutions. Our goal is to bring together creative thinkers and technology developers so that the next generation of solutions can emerge from these collaborations.

We invite people from the film, multimedia, and advertising industries to the hackathon to map real-world problems and gather valuable insights directly from the industry.

We are also looking for technology enthusiasts, programmers, software developers, and designers to work together on finding smart technological solutions to the sector’s biggest challenges.

And if you have strong business acumen, sales skills, or a desire to test yourself in the startup world, you are very welcome too!

IDA Hub – connects the creative sector and technology, contributing to the development of an innovative film ecosystem in the Ida-Viru region and supporting the growth of film talents and future innovation leaders.

PÖFF – provides valuable insights into film production, experiences from international film festivals, and access to industry professionals who share practical challenges and opportunities in production, distribution, and audience engagement.

kood/Jõhvi – ambitious IT talents apply their skills and hacker mindset to the film and multimedia sector, bringing fresh ideas and innovation to the industry.

The event is supported by Startup Estonia.
The activities of the Tehnopol Startup Incubator’s Film and Multimedia Accelerator IDA Hub are funded by the European Union.
