Film and Multimedia Tech hackathon

The Film and Multimedia Technology Hackathon enables the creation of innovative and scalable solutions in the film and technology sector through idea development and hands-on team work. Participants will have the opportunity to explore new application possibilities in software development, collaborate with creatives and film professionals, and for young and emerging talents, try their hand at entrepreneurship in the film technology field.

This year’s 48-hour hackathon will take place on September 12–13 at kood/Jõhvi (Tartu põik 5, Jõhvi). Register HERE.

During the hackathon, participants will have the chance to work with both international and local top mentors who share their expertise in filmmaking, technology development, and creative entrepreneurship.

International mentors include Kristen Davis (France) – speaker at Cannes NEXT and VivaTech, and advisor to international accelerators – and Maciej Żemojcin (Poland), founder of Poland’s first virtual production studio and expert for Netflix, Berlinale, and EAVE.

The winning team will receive a prize of €2000. Additionally, the best teams will have the opportunity to join the Tehnopol Startup Incubator Film and Multimedia Accelerator program, where they will be supported in developing, validating, and bringing their solutions to market.

We welcome everyone interested in technology, film, and creativity. The hackathon is open to tech enthusiasts, software developers, film lovers, IT students, and creative professionals who want to develop their ideas, gain new knowledge, and find inspiring collaboration opportunities. Participants can register either with an existing team or individually.
