The summer of festivals ends next week with sTARTUp Day

Next week, business festival sTARTUp Day takes place in Tartu, which is always one of the highlights of the year for startups. Tehnopol Science and Business Park will be there with our own booth, our managers will be leading several interesting discussions and the demo day of Startup Incubator takes place.

This time, sTARTUp Day brings together a record number of international speakers, the demo area is bigger than ever and the programme offers something for everyone. The festival takes place for the sixth time and this year more than 3500 participants are expected from Estonia and abroad. The main topics of the festival are innovation and entrepreneurial mindset, which will be discussed by experts of various fields.

Our speakers

Kadri Tammai, the Manager of Tehnopol Startup Incubator, will be leading two discussions. On August 25, she will be speaking with Inka Mero, Kärt Tomberg, Rainis Venta, Vaido Mikheim and Gary Urb about deeptech funding and how to catch the big fish.

On August 26, Kadri will invite Heidi Kakko, Reigo Ahven and Kaspar Päll to the stage to talk about how to build a startup that investors can’t resist.

In addition to those topics, we will also focus on healthtech. Piret Hirv, the Manager of Connected Health Cluster, will be talking with Ain Aaviksoo about the key turning points in building a health tech startup. This discussion takes place on August 26.

The participants of our Startup Incubator’s growth programme will take the stage on August 25 – that’s when the Startup Incubator’s demo day takes place. Come and listen to Motiveer, KideoCall, Bilance, Wayren and KonnectzIT pitch their ideas in front of an audience!
